  4. Retropro says:

    Thats a t-shirt design from threadless.com.

  5. Anonymous says:

It was made for Threadless Tshirt company by the artist listed at the bottom of this page. http://www.threadless.com/product/2094/We_ve_Got_Some_Work_To_Do_Now

  6. DeltaBladeX says:

I must know the source of this picture. Anyone have any clue?

  7. Jin says:

    should be a t-shirt. ;-)

    • Basara549 says:

It was actually part of a Halloween T-shirt design contest on Threadless. Not sure if it was ever actually made into a shirt or not.

I remember seeing the pic make the rounds on Facebook back in October.

I personally call it “Velma in Zombieland”.

  8. Rosgath says:

Cuz we all know in the zombie apocalypse velma will be the one who lives and no zombie would ever get the better of Scooby.

  9. Luca Masters says:

It’s never an actual ghost. It’s just the janitor. A lesson for all you pseudoscience nuts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujUQn0HhGEk

  10. Tomo-k says:

Source on the original pic? It’s so awesome.

  11. Stinkoman87 says:

I love how it’s the Misery Machine. I didn’t notice that when I first saw it.

  12. hamstap85 says:

i have to say…..to all those that i laughed at for commenting ‘this pic scarred my childhood for the rest of my life’, i am sorry.

this pic scarred me for the rest of my life (not that my childhood was filled with the gang, i just loved them). i guess this would be the demise. shaggy, fred, and daphne are all dead, velma’s turned rugged, and shaggy’s eating a real bone.

…. but it is totally badass!!!

  13. g0554m3r says:

I so wish that this would turn into some badass graphic novel series…

  14. MWS says:

They were forced to eat Scrappy Doo… and there was much rejoicing.

  15. Redazrael says:

Travis Pitts is my hero of the week. That is badass personified.

  16. Lupus says:

Yay for Zombie Island of Dr. Ned reference

  17. Mask says:

    o noes, shaggy died?
he was my favorite becuase he was always high (hence the munchies).

  18. Jesseh says:

    I love this pic <3

  19. Ali L. says:

That’s the work of a very talented artist named Travis Pitts. I’ve got one of his retro-inspired movie posters (Big Trouble in Little China) framed and up on our wall.

You can find his t-shirts at Threadless: http://www.threadless.com/profile/83893.

You can find his posters (movie posters, “zombieganda”, etc) at ImageKind: http://www.imagekind.com/MemberProfile.aspx?mid=c3993939-15b1-45c0-bf80-904fb28bf10e.

  20. RBMJR says:

This picture seems pretty cool. But I have to ask… what’s the giant pencil for?

  21. Kudzustew says:

I have this shirt! People either gasp with horror when they see it, or they murmur “That’s soooo badass” under their breaths. I love it.

  22. Rogue says:

Fred was the first to go. He tried to do the whole, “Its just a scary mask!” thing when the whole head came off. With Fred gone, the gang went into full-on Zombie hunting mode. Although Daphne’s family savings bankrolled the upgrades to the Mystery Machine, she herself fell victim to a zombie Prada combat boot salesman. Shaggy was not, in fact, a zombie victim. After years of failed rehab, Shaggy died of an overdose from injecting pure extract of Scooby Snax after an all-weekend burger bender. With the loss of his faithful master, Scooby went militant, began an intense workout regimen, and completed Green Beret training. Without the others to hold her back, Velma has finally blossomed into a bad-ass zombie-crunching one-woman army.

  23. dr. monster says:

the artwork is mine although that image is now owned by threadless.com, i still plan on doing a one-shot comic explainig how everything went down in the monsterpocalypse. it’s not just going to be about zombies, but all the classic monsters. you’ll especially like the perfect revenge she inflicts on a fish man.
i know as long as there are 72 dpi images on the web people will swipe them and do whatever to them, and i guess so long as no one is trying to make money off of the image, neither me or threadless.com have a problem with it i suppose, though it’s truly up to them by this point. any attention to my portfolio is good attention, so long as i am credited- i’m looking for work like everyone else, of course.
and my girlfriend is getting quite a big head at everyone calling her ‘hot’.

    • II says:

Thank you! It’s nice to see someone shed light on a situation and use common sense. Free marketing. Congrats and well done!

    • jooleeratski says:

      Velma FTW!

As soon as I saw this on Threadless I was just waiting for them to make it into a shirt. I love mine and get lots of compliments on it.

It is the epitome of AWESOME. Thank you for creating it!

    • Yikes says:

Dude, if she’s got even just a tehth of this Velma’s hotness and sheer badassitude, postpone that one-shot comic and marry her.
      Seriously.

  24. Long before dawn says:

I love it. When is the graphic novel coming out?

  25. Comrade Question says:

wow! thats cool as hell! Very very awesome

  26. G. James says:

I wore this T-shirt two days ago. This image though is missing the chainsaws sticking out the side of The Misery Machine (and one of the slots for them).

  27. dr. monster says:

oh yeah! this one was swiped from a progress shot from my own flickr account, it’s not even the final version subbed to threadless…..good observation G. James

    • G. James says:

Frankly, I hadn’t noticed the chainsaws until the shirt arrived, but they made an immediate impression in person. That and having to wonder what did they encounter previously that would require having a telephone pole-sized sharpened wooden stake available?!

The artwork definitely makes an impression to everyone that sees it. When I first saw it on Threadless, it had already sold out. It’s the first shirt I’ve had them e-mail me a notice when it became available again.

A backstory comic? Oh, I definitely am going to have to bookmark your Flickr page now!

  28. Neymorra says:

Having grown up watching the gang, I have to say this is one of the most sublime pieces of art I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine them ending up any other way than this. I will be buying this shirt when I get paid and I will probably get one for my sister too. Velma was always our favorite character… she’ll love the idea of Daphne being dead. :D

  29. Wolf says:

Awesome picture. Somewhat disturbed by the anatomically correct Scooby.

  30. Jenni says:

I have this shirt, and I LOVE it! Nothing like combining an old childhood pop culture icon with zombies!!

  31. Bill says:

I CAN HAS DIS VERSHUN OV SCOOBY DOO?

  32. ann says:

To have Velma be not just hot but a survivor is what’ll set our real world to rights. When it all goes down, it won’t be some dumbass that saves us. It’ll be a smart chick with a gun and a machete and a van full of armaments — and a dog that’s got over his fear (he’s got balls now!) and will rip your throat out if you smell wrong. God-DAMN! I love this art.

  33. Grabbin'Peelz says:

    New L4D game FTW

  34. Bones says:

Velma as a hardcore survivalist? Full of win! This would make an awesome comic series.

  35. JULIO LUGO!!! says:

This. Needs. To. Be. A. TV. Show.

Maybe NBC can replace Conan with this…

  36. Just Posting a sneaky backlink (and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids)

  37. dr. monster says:

thanks for the second wave of appreciation for the design-
not only is it available at threadless, but it’s up for best tee of the year there- please go show your support for the design! thanks!

    Ellen Page…. is that you?

  39. Sara says:

Because I was bored, and have no life.I really stared at this photo. And these things screamed me in the face.
Considering the Cross-necklace on Velma’s neck, the stake on her belt, and the giant stake in the background,I think Vampire.
    The,The gun,The machete,and the green hand in Scooby’s chompers,I think Zombie.
    So…Zombie-Vampire?

  40. Donte Hagie says:

Will it make the colour of the stretch mark go away?

  41. oybhhfb says:

anyone notice the rip S+F+D poor shaggy fred and dafny, to be honest i always though shaggy and scooby would be the only survivors of the “gang.” you just can’t kill the groups comic relief

  42. RobertW. says:

Maybe just the greatest demotivational ever

  43. Ren says:

  47. Say Say =^_^= says:

    S+F+… O?

  48. david says:

Velma is hot.. if there was a girl out there who looked like this id seriously date her

    • Miesha says:

I think Dr. Monster/Travis Pitts (The creator of the image) said that Velma there is based on his girlfriend? Dunno, thought it said so further up.

  49. brent says:

    I smell a spin-off!!

  50. me! says:

That is the most awesome thing.. that.. I’ve.. ever.. seen..

  51. trans2rotf says:

    The new Sarah Connor.

  52. yoyoarnie12 says:

The new Resident Evil with a mix of Twilight (I wanna see Velma kill Edward >:D)

  53. jakkals says:

WOW! I would love to read that comic! Watched the other night the old Scooby Doo cartoons. This comic would be exactly “at age” for us who watched the cartoon back then! Someone get some money to this guy to print this!

  54. herefornoreason says:

Anyone notice that Daphne’s scarf is now a bandage for Velma?

  55. fakename says:

that would be one f**king awesome show XD

  56. camon dascia says:

a thousand badass points to the nerd in glasses and her pooch
    that is one amazing pic…..

  57. Tom says:

Why is there a pencil on the top?

  58. Fer says:

Hummm… it’s a battering ram. And I’d love to see the whole background on this image. Most.Badass.Ever.

  59. engy says:

awsome i wish the tv show was more like this

  60. Charlie says:

This made me sad…because Shaggy, Daphanie, and Freddie are dead.

  61. heavenshallturn says:

    l love the r.i.p shaggy,fred,daphne part.

  62. TyForFun says:

  63. RickyG says:

well, Now if THIS was the cartoon series follow-up, i’d still be watching it.

  64. satanballs66 says:

Left 4 Dead – Shaggy, Velma, Daphine, and Fred

  65. mavisbeecon says:

Bah, cool idea but you can’t kill Shaggy, he’s the best character on any show period. Well, besides Candlejack of cou
