For the respect of the families who lost their loved ones in this accident, can you please remove this?

  2. not_funny says:

Someone died in that accident, others were seriously injured.

    This is very poor taste.

  3. Rev. Layle says:

I drive around the parking lots at busy scores looking for the best combo. I keep a score table in my glovebox.

What? I’m just saying what everyone else really thinks…

  4. Bill Eccles says:

Just a note: somebody died in this accident. Not necessarily in the best of taste.

    • HR_19 says:

If that’s true, then it’s a pity, and my heart goes out to that person’s family and friends…but either way, this picture was taken before anyone died, most likely, and therefore is very funny.

      • LandYOUR Calrissian says:

Well, that someone died as an immediate result of the event being photographed makes it still in bad taste, whether before or after the death itself. If it were a photo making fun of Hitler or something else like that, it’d be different, ’cause it’s making fun of the guy, not making fun of the deaths. Though it could still be touchy. Just my opinion.

  5. mit says:

Unfortunately Calvin never got over his “that bike is out to get me” .
he’s now in a padded cell but its ok hobbies is still with him.

  6. mit says:

it was reported there was a stuffed bear in the drivers seat

  7. nico says:

Do I dare say there was a woman behind the wheel?

  8. Nil says:

With that many people involved, this was no accident. It was definitely intentional.

  9. snowwolf says:

It is always sad when people die. But humor is a way of dealing with tragedy. I say keep the poster up.

  10. bilbo teabaggins says:

    he missed one!

  11. rofl says:

What an incredible photo. While it may not be in the best of taste, it made me laugh. Welcome to the internet. If it offends you, don’t view the site. Simple as that.

    • LandYOUR Calrissian says:

Well then you laugh in bad taste.

People come to the site expecting not to see things like this. They don’t come here to be offended. They come for good laughs, not bad ones, and there are plenty of good ones to be had.

  12. Jacob says:

Why in the world would people take the time to go to a website to look at DEMOTIVATIONAL posters, and then critique them and ask for them to be removed….wth are you people thinking? If you don’t like it, don’t come on the site, what do you expect?

  13. Someone says:

Dammit, man, it’s a CAR, not a MowPed!

  14. cycle_man says:

I am an avid cyclist and had friends who have been tragically injured or killed in car accidents. As sad as that is, I nearly peed and fell off my chair laughing when I saw this one! Epic tastelessness — funny as hell.

  15. Dariotsky says:

That happend on a city next to mine. That place is called Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Its a border town south of Brownsville, Tx. .

Please stop sayin somebody die because no one got killed even when it looks so dramatic. I remember hearin on national news there were only two or three guys with real injuries.

The driver was drunk dude by the way.

    • U ppl R horrible says:

      well, they let you on!

    • valociraptor says:

      Allow me to correct you.
One dead, four injured, according to the Brownsville Herald.
And the driver wasn’t just drunk, he was also under the influence of drugs. Double whammy!
According to the full photo on the site, the accident also happened right in front of a policeman.
Either way, get your facts right next time, please.
Also, despite the tragedy, it’s funny. Don’t deny it.
People deal with loss by laughing sometimes. It makes death less scary.

  16. mike penney says:

This look likes geezer bowling in Florida….
They are too lame to really bowl so they use their full sized cars….

    • She-Hulk says:

haha we have the WORST combination of old people and teenagers on the road in Florida. Add in all the tourists and we have the perfect recipe for accidents and traffic.

  17. vk says:

That was called “Bonus for artistic impression” in Carmaggedon. LOL

  18. ss says:

I don’t care if someone died or not, its still in bad taste.

    • YttriumOx says:

I don’t care if someone died or not, it’s still hilarious.

I mean really – most of the pics on this site are going to be in bad taste, offensive to specific groups, or otherwise something that people might complain about. That’s the POINT of this and many similar sites. Get over it.

  19. greendrill says:

all pictures like this are fuunny! as long as your loved ones are not involvet in those axidents… so, mine are not, so ROFL!

  20. Victor M. says:

    @Dariotsky:

are you kidding? Several people did die in that “accident”. It was big news here in Mexico.

  21. Jesse says:

Fox News Tuesday, June 3, 2008 Monterrey, Mexico:

A car driven by an alleged drunken driver plowed into a bicycle race along a highway near the U.S.-Mexico border Sunday, killing one cyclist and injuring 10 others.

Juan Campos was apparently drunk and had fallen asleep at the wheel before crashing into the race in Monterrey, Mexico, police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez said.

A photograph taken by a city official shows the horrifying moment of impact. The force of the collision sent bicyclists and equipment high into the air and Matamoros newspaper El Mañana described children crying, women shouting for help and men trying to lynch Campos before police arrived to arrest him.

KILLED IN THE CRASH WAS ALEJANDRO ALVAREZ, 37, of Monterrey.

Campos told police he was an American citizen from Brownsville, Texas. The U.S. consulate could not immediately confirm that.

“We are looking into the incident in terms of whether American citizens were involved,” consulate spokesman Todd Huizinga told the Associated Press.

The crash happened 15 minutes into the race along a highway between Playa Bagdad and Matamoros, authorities said.

A total of 452 cyclists were participating in the 21-mile race, which was canceled after the incident.

  22. Art Radio says:

According to Snopes.com, there were ten injuries and one fatality.

  23. Antimoo says:

I laugh at dead baby jokes. I’d find this funny any day.

  24. ckn says:

hahaha… the previous comment made me ignite in evil laughter… yes… death is rather amusing when it does not happen to you :)

  25. JM says:

You gotta admit, the photo is quite impressive, in that it caught such an indelible shot of the action.

And I agree with previous posters: laughter is a way to deal with tragedy. Keep the picture up.

  26. tiger claw says:

It is sad, yes, but maybe some of us here in SF wish it was Critical Mass that was being taken out. Welcome to Death Race 2010.

  27. EMT-B says:

Hell of a clean up ! You all should think about what if it was you?

  28. Steve McCeney says:

Looks like Liberals running the Government, real funny.

  29. yousuck says:

not funny at all. extremely poor taste. those who thought it funny: I hope something this bad or worse happens to you and/or your family. assholes

  30. Terrible says:

Laughter is a way to deal with other people’s tragedy ? Nice one.
I’ve been as de-sensitized by the internet as the next man, but that doesn’t mean everything is an acceptable target for humour. This is well wide of the mark, only amusing for those wrapped up in the own immaturity and selfishness.

  31. haha says:

at least they were mexicans , haha

  32. Kitsune Dragoon says:

I know it’s terrible, but I still laughed at it when it was titled in another Demotivation as: “OUT OF MY WAY!!! I have to save the Internet!” It’s Dead Baby Humor, and while not in good taste, still causes some of us the giggles.

  33. lawlgasm says:

    HOHOHO, THIS WAS DELICIOUS!

  34. Twigy says:

    (Game) : New High Score!
(Driver) : Yes!! I are soo happy I might be a world record holder!

  35. grrreat says:

if you can’t find comedy within tragedy you’re probably on the wrong earth. seeya round!

  36. old Greg says:

No matter how you spin it, this isn’t funny.

    • svl.dawn says:

Actually, yes it is. It’s sad to see the Internet has come to such a state when this is the only thing that makes people laugh, but that’s how it is. Don’t complain about it. If you don’t like something and can’t change it, go to another site. Oh, and another thing…

      Welcome to the Internet.

  37. Lol_Death says:

I saw this before, but I still died laughing when I saw it. Nothing is funnier than death!

  38. Ben Chandler says:

    Killionaire!

    Pmsl

  39. MeHTa says:

Honesly, whoever thinks this is funny should see a psychiorist…

  40. Beth says:

I found it pretty hilarious at first sight, like watching a friend majorly stack it, then kinda realised it looks like it was a pretty serious accident.
The pic is funny, the reality of the pic isn’t.

  41. Jd says:

welcome to the internet, people :(

  42. Sophie says:

haha! my mum used to say “how many points if i knock that old guy off his bike?” “3 points!”
This guy must have made over a hundred XD

  43. Lou Lou says:

As horrifying as I find the story behind the pic, I still find the pic itself hilarious. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t have a little bit of a morbid sense of humor.

  44. safvsadv says:

“Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die.

    Mel Brooks”

Yes, very poor taste. But it’s still okay for it to be funny.

  45. lapsus_ says:

at first i was like :/
    but than i lol’d.

  46. Firefly says:

It’s in exceptionally poor taste. It is rather clever humor, if dark humor, in spite of that, or perhaps because of it. I don’t think it should be taken down, as tasteless as it is, because A) I don’t believe in censorship and B) to my view it’s valueable to read the comments and know who’s an asshole and who isn’t.

  47. Perkins says:

    That’s photoshopped, you idiots

  48. It is unknown at this time whether Guida vs. Gugerty will grace the televised portion of the Versus TV card.

  49. Chuck N. says:

I just can think about one word …………… STRIKE!!

  50. Grace says:

We should be respectful of the dead but there are some things that you can’t help but talk etc. about. Similarly its like the Darwin awards.

  51. Bill Johnson says:

Humans often deal with tragedy & stress through humor. It’s a defense mechanism. Go behind the scenes of an emergency room or an abortion clinic and you’ll find out soon enough. It’s a way to diffuse the obviously non-funny necessities of the job. Death is not funny; finding humor in death is a common, but not universal, method of coming to terms with one’s own mortality. When I saw this photo, it made me realize that at any moment the unexpected could strike me down. Laughing at it helps me deal with the fear the photo arouses.

If you don’t find humor in this photo, then you must have a different method of dealing with death. That doesn’t give you the right to criticize my way, especially when it does you no harm. Live and let live folks.

    • Bob the Builder says:

You can make light of the situation without making light of the people. The people involved have the right to do so, but we don’t.

  52. belated (the comment i mean) says:

Just my 2 chimes.. love this site. Pic is funny AND tastess. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. My best friend died of a brain tumor at 29, but still laugh at my “Derek & Clive” CD and their sick cancer jokes. In fact so did my friend, even during chemotherapy. He was dying and laughing at it helped him (and me).

Laughter helps us deal with a terrifying, insane, random, absurd world.

But yes, it’s also good to be concerned by seeming irreverence to another’s pain. That’s valid too. But having a black sense of humour doesn’t mean you wouldn’t be the first on the scene doing CPR and helping any way you could. One of the many paradoxes of being human.

Let others think and feel the way they want, because we all share these paradoxes and there’s no point picking on one instance, one expression, and saying “you are wrong”.

  53. Marcus says:

    STRRRRRRRRRRRIKE!

  54. Marcus says:

STRRRRRRRRRRRIKE! Ps: Chuck Norris is lethal too, but we still think he is awesome….

  55. Rehash says:

    That’s terrific.

  56. Wow says:

    Can anyone say combo multiplier?

  57. Dangerosu says:

Clearly a fan of Carmageddon !
    :D
