This is nothing new, everyone knows Popes love eating babies. You just don’t want to admit it.

To Cheezburger: Most of your stuff if relatively unoffensive. I go on your various websites every day, and you never fail to make me laugh. However, his is pretty offensive to Catholics, as well as to the billions of people who admired John Paul II. To add to that, it’s not even very funny. Please keep your stuff universally funny, rather that targeting a beloved world leader in such a disturbing way.
The universal binding agent of comedy is subjectiveness- what is funny to you may not be funny to others. Because something isn’t funny to you does not invalidate it – I am told there are people in the world who enjoy “Seinfeld” and “Everybody loves Raymond”, whereas, to me, they have nothing humorous about them. You cannot say “Make fun of this, but don’t make fun of that”. Everybody has the potential to be offended by anything!!! Do you want to ban comedy in general? Which are you- a Fascist, or Nazi, or a communist?
Admit it! You found it funny, that’s why you’re so upset.

No, I really didn’t find it funny. I’m also not a fascist. There’s just a line that is being crossed here. It’s not that I mind people poking fun at the Pope, Catholics, or any other religion/race/etc. It’s just that it should be done right. I’m sure that if a more vulnerable group were being targeted, for example the Jewish people, and I were to object to it, you would not be calling me a Nazi. Believe me, I enjoy humor, and have no objection to poking a bit of fun. But I think you can understand that this is just a tad disturbing. All I am saying is that some discretion should be shown.
Who says it’s your line to draw. If were going to go that far then I think Greek mythology should be rewritten to not give Cronos such a bad rap for devouring his own offspring.. He was a cool dude!

I’m no atheist, but i can clear that up for you. Molesters, thieves, and killers are welcome at all times. Baby eating is okay, but looked down upon. But oh, homosexuallity is out of the question though. That is worst of all…all the killers, child molesters, and thieves. We allow you into church if you’ve killed a child, molested a child, or stolen, but if you’ve given another man so much as a glance and wink, then there must be something wrong with you. just because one or two or less than half of the pple that c this think its less than funny doesnt mean we should get rid of it. we already tried that with the constitution when it came out. it said that even if one state didnt vote what the majority was voting, that that law wouldnt pass. rhode island flippen voted against every little thing so we couldnt get any laws past. damn rhode island… well at least in 1780 it sucked… not now tho its awesome

You do not have a badge that says ‘Internet Police’. Didn’t think so. No one does. If something is not your taste, you can’t pull the humor out of it for everyone else, demanding that it be taken off. The internet is a domain of free speech, and some of it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The internet IS anonymous, and I happen to like that. We aren’t constantly bombarded with being PC or sensitive. We express what we think. We discuss what we think. We laugh at our own beliefs, and can loosen up about it. Religion is touchy because most of the population have already strongly made up their minds about it. Your God won’t be angry at you if you just frown a little and move on. He won’t demand that you lead a crusade to remove all non-PC content from the Internet (good luck – that makes up about 10% of it [porn makes up the other 90%]).

Everyone seems to have forgotten that John Paul went to the AIDS torn part of Africa and preched that condoms are not only against god, but that condoms don’t work in the protection against AIDS.
